I wanna say this, culturally I am westerner, I would say 80% westerner 20% whatever, a little bit Iranian perhaps a bit of Mongol blood too for not all time I am completely sane, I admit sorry, however religiously I am 100% Islam, 80% westerner I like their Christian culture more than I like the culture of the Islamic world, for I if you knew anything you would know people mix cultures with their faiths which is not what anyone should do but in the case of the westerners it worked better for them and because it worked better for them they conflict their culture with the teaching and culture of Jesus who was a hard core conservative but in a kind reasonable manner, my criticism of the culture which became the faith of the westerners Christianity that is that they unlike the Islamic faith have totally misunderstood what the purpose of prayer means, totally misunderstood the whole concept, the Muslims got it fully right in this regard, the Jews too I must say, to a degree, to a lesser degree but they still in a minor way got it in their faith, not the Christians though, they got it wrong from the get go to a degree that they dont have the proper word for it, you dont have the word for it, not that I know of, so what am I talking about there, what is the word you lack in your western vocabulary which the Muslims and the Jews have, I'll explain to you, you see in Islam we have two words for the word you know as pray, that is namaz and doa, two words in English you made it in one word, so what is namaz you know as pray but in the Islamic world does not mean pray to you, for you Christians say we Muslims pray five times a day, now what is the difference between Christian meaning for pray and the Islamic one, when we do our namaz five times a day is to its to ONLY glorify the Creator, we dont ask for ANYTHING, I will translate what we say in our glorification in our namaz five times to the Lord of everything the Creator, here it comes.
In the name of the One God we reject the cursed Satan.
We thank you the Lord of the world
The most kind the most merciful
The owner of the Judgment Day
Only to You we pray and only to You we ask for help
Guide us towards the right path
Guide us toward You my Lord
Not toward those who have earned your displeasure
Amen
Say your Lord is One
He is the sovereign
He didnt begot and didnt begotten anyone
And there is nothing like Him in His existence
All praises belong to You my Lord
May peace and blessings be upon Prophet Mohammad
May peace and blessing be upon the righteous ones
I declare prophet Mohammad was the messenger of God
and this we repeat during the namaz, which you call prayers.
now what is doa which you Christians also call prayers for you have one word (prayers) for these two acts in the Islamic world and the Jewish, doa is when you ask God for help over something, so two tonally different things, for from what I know, Christians unlike Muslims and Jews dont spend time only to glorify their Creator without also asking for help, you mixed these two acts in one act with you call prayers, things that should be kept separate, because the purpose of prayer should before anything go towards glorifying your Lord, not to ask for something, its very selfish in fact, you see when Jesus prostrated on his knees when the PRAYED to his Lord, you dont think Jesus was asking for something, or do you think he was praising his Lord ?? I say Jesus was praising his Lord, not asking for anything while was actually praying, now this tradition got lost when this new faith Paul created and promoted in the west in europe, for you never hear Paul praying like Jesus did, or have I missed something ?? I dont think so, and thats why you in the west have misunderstood the true purpose of prayer is, and thats why you dont distinguish between glorifying your Maker and when you in desperation turn to Him to ask for something you need help with.
Thats my criticism.
You should actually make a word beside your word for pray to distinguish between when you want something and when you should exclusively glorifying your Lord
Now I am thinking, shouldnt your Christian clergymen have informed you of this point I made, and if not then why not, shouldnt they have known better and if not then why not ?? Shouldnt the Pope have known better to have you dedicate a special prayers exclusively to glorify your Maker, like Jesus did, why have you missed this for the past 1600 years when Christianity was established, could it be that you went with the teaching of Paul instead of Jesus, for they were two completely different teachings and messages, first Jesus came and said he is not here to contradict the Torah, later of Paul came and claimed Jesus come to him to contradict the Torah, so which is it, should we trust Jesus or Paul, I know what I do, I go with Jesus.
