Going solar | Berlin set to make solar panels obligatory for new buildings
Its a great idea, bravo to Germany :) I understand some people dont want solar on their roofs or wind turbines anywhere, but it is a free source of energy, and you must tap into it somehow, so perhaps you should design your new building to match your solar panels and I am sure it will both look great and generate some of your energy needs, if you dont include heating and cooking, it will surly provide your other electricity needs, and not only that, it will both save you money and if case of crap hitting the fan, you can be independent on others for your basic electricity needs, then there is the cost of it all, and here the state can be extra helpful, making sure from the porches the manufacturing to instalment all of it is tax free, all of it tax exempt, the whole prosses, to encourage people to go as green as their pocket books allows them to, I would also encourage locally manufactured panels and the whole thing should also be tax exempt to match Chinese prices or get close to it, very close, no taxes on anything green at all, thats what I propose, again hats off to Germany you are doing the right thing :) I would also have small wind turbines on roofs too, any free energy source you can tap into, you should, it would be dumb of you not to do, there is shit load of energy in wind, sometimes much more than solar, per square meter that is, and people should get those new two faced solar panels, never mind the old ones, get the two faced and paint your roofs white, and you will both save in cooling the house in summers and maximize your new two faced solars, and if you want me to install the whole thing, give me a call :)
